Cootehill
In 1880 Fr. Francis O’Reilly requested that the Sisters in Belturbet Convent would send a foundation to his parish, Cootehill. His request was granted when, on Rosary Sunday 1880, two Sisters from Ballinamore joined a Sister from Belturbet to start a foundation in Cootehill. more>>

When a nurse in the Fever Hospital, Cavan, resigned in 1885, the Board of Guardians placed an advertisement in the daily and local newspapers inviting applications for the post. There were no applications and repetitions of the advertisement yielded no contender.
