Educating
From the beginning of the Mercy Congregation attention was always given to the education of the young. Almost as soon as Sisters arrived in any new town or city, they opened a school.

In a new era with different needs, Sisters of Mercy, in collaboration with other Congregations in Ireland, have entrusted this valued ministry of education to other bodies. www.ceist.ie

The Province continues to retain trusteeship of two Primary Schools and three Second Level Schools in Northern Ireland and we are joint trustees of four Community Schools in the Republic. >>more

Educating Today
Today the Province carries forward the ministry of Educating in a broader context, seeking to respond to unmet needs and to provide a wide variety of learning milieux for men and women to continue to learn in ways best suited to their aspirations for their own growth and development.
