Education

Inspired by the vision of Catherine McAuley, Mercy education is committed to holistic development and to the achievement of the full potential of each student particularly those who are disadvantaged or marginalised – Mercy Philosophy of Education

In the United States, Sisters responded to the call to staff parochial schools in various states during the 1950 and 1960’s. Schools flourished and Catholic Education became an important ministry of the Church. Some of our Sisters still work as teachers and principals in schools.
