Nakuru

Catherine McAuley House in Nakuru opened its doors at the turn of this century. For most of the first decade it was known as the Continental Novitiate for the African continent. Now it is the Novitiate for the Kenyan province. Two Formators and five Novices currently live there. The setting is spacious and the house still boasts of a view of the flamingo draped edges of Lake Nakuru. The rapid development in the area may soon take the view but the proximity to Nakuru National park continues to provide an opportunity to visit this place of international interest. It seems the ideal setting for contemplation and the newly surfaced road to the capital has made the 150 kilometers a short journey.
