Chaplaincy

School Chaplaincy
The aim of the Catholic School is to provide a Catholic Education that enables pupils reach their potential. The school is a community where pupils, parents and teachers share the Christian vision and are guided by the principles of the Gospel.

The School Chaplain is concerned with all aspects of life of the school community and provides pastoral care for students and staff by responding to their personal needs on a day-to-day basis. The Chaplain’s Office provides a space where all are welcome and have an opportunity to talk about concerns, difficulties or joys in a confidential and supportive environment.

Simply put, the privileged role of the chaplain is to ‘be there’ for the whole community.

The School Chaplain provides pastoral care for students and staff and responds to the personal needs of individual students on a day-to-day basis. Students can discuss in a confidential and supportive environment any concerns and difficulties they may have. Students can drop in, to the Chaplain’s office for a chat in a friendly and informal way.

This service is student based and follows through to home and family life particularly with regard to illness, bereavement and loss.
