In the early 1980’s the Sisters of Mercy once again responded to Catherine’s founding call “To respond to the greatest needs of our time” and opened a residential addiction treatment centre for male and female adults who are chemically dependent on alcohol and drugs. Today in the Southern Province there are three residential centres for adults, one day centre for adults and one residential centre for adolescents. The centres are non profit making organisations. A skilled professional team approach provides appropriate care and support for the residents and their families in an atmosphere of respect.
