Nguutani  is situated along the main road to the north east of the country to the towns of Garissa and Wajir. It is warm and arid and the established ministries administered by the Sisters are a vocational training centre and a commercial college. Another Sister teaches in the local primary school. It is home to a community of three. This mission was established in the 1980’s and like some of the other areas in the Ukambani region the issue of an adequate water supply for the running of these ministries as well as for the local population remains a constant challenge. The Kenyan Sister who is on mission to Zambia has a home base in this community.
