Living Magnifica Humanitas Conference 2026

On 29 September 2026, the Catholic Communications Office of the Bishops’ Conference hosted Living Magnifica Humanitas at Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth.

The conference explored Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, and its call to reflect on what it means to be human in an age of artificial intelligence. Bringing together voices from across society, the event featured Archbishop Eamon Martin, Bishop Paul Tighe, Professor Anna Rowlands, and two panel discussions exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, as well as the wider questions raised by the encyclical. Pope Leo XIV has invited people to engage in a broad conversation about the impact of AI on humanity, dignity, work, freedom and the common good.

The recording commences with the presentation video produced by the Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development. The Conference is introduced at 3:57.
