Monday, 9th June marks the beginning of National Carers Week with its theme “Making Caring Visible”.
This week is a time to recognise, celebrate and raise awareness about Ireland’s 600,000 family carers who provide care and support to a person with a disability, chronic condition, mental health concern and/or long-term illness, in the person’s own home.
We give thanks for all those whose commitment, dedication and compassion makes such a difference in the lives of those who rely on them and who model for us all the Golden Rule: “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Mt.7:12).
