Sing, Sing a Song of Joy
Christ is near. The news is in the song of every robin and in the expectation of the ebbing tide. It is heralded in every sunrise and carried in the gentle breeze. This is the news that joins heaven and earth into one holy ground.
Sing, Sing a Song of Joy
Christ is near. The shepherds with their sheep and lambs were at peace. The air was silent and the full moon smiled down on them. It was one of those nights when stars and galaxies paused in wonder into the space beyond their reach. The it happened… A song was heard filling the darkness.
Sing, Sing a Song of Joy
Christ is near. The music swelled and the voices filled the silence and the stars began the dance of life. Then there was a celestial being winging across the face of the moon and holding in still flight above the sheepfold. It was an announcement. All creation was joining the chorus.
Tonight a Saviour is born for you!
Sing, Sing a Song of Joy
The shepherds ran as fast as their hearts could beat. They found the child.
O With What Joy We Sing
