MECPATHS Network Of Collaboration 2024

MECPATHS continues its work to counter Child Trafficking in Ireland today. With an extended reach into worlds of Child Criminal exploitation, the work of MECPATHS breathes energy from action through collaboration and partnership from across Ireland and within many youth and community groups who have joined the conversation throughout 2024. With a reach beyond the Hospitality Sector in recent years, calls to support frontline professionals in their education continue and as we move towards Winter, MECPATHS is very pleased to have formed new partnerships with agencies including The Local Government Management Agency who requested education for all of the Local Authorities in Ireland who manage integration teams for those seeking International Protection and Child Safeguarding.

In October 2023, you may remember the announcement of a strategic partnership with The Private Security Authority; the partnership has flourished and in the 12 month period since its announcement, MECPATHS has delivered education to just over 10,000 individuals. This partnership was the first mandated training on Human Trafficking within the state and continues to grow in its outreach and impact.

The Ministry continues in its gratitude to the partners of MECPATHS and for the extension of collaboration which has carried the work across and around Ireland in such a strengthened and stable way. As we continue in the work, we ask you to keep those for whom the project works in your mind; the vulnerable and the hidden, the children who lives are impacted by exploitation and whose childhoods are fractured by it.
