The Bible tells us that:

God fills us with joy (Romans 15:13)

It’s a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)

No one can take joy from us (John 16:22)

Joy appears more than 100 times in the Bible

God of all joy you fill the earth with the fullness of your beauty

The mountains respond to your touch in majestic outreach

The seas rise in waves of glory at your word

The night gives way to dawn in the whisper of your presence

The greatest war is silenced in the light of your peace

 

Every tear is wiped away in the mercy of your heart

 

In Advent our joy is complete as we behold the Star and open our lives to the gift of lasting joy.
