Communicators for Women Religious is an international network of more than 200 professional communicators, and the only organisation of its kind serving communicators for women religious. It has the focus of Advancing the Mission of Catholic Sisters, and can be found in five countries (United States, Canada, Ireland, Italy and Australia). CWR members work on behalf of Sisters who serve or live in more than 50 different countries and territories. Several Mercy Sisters are among its members in Ireland.

CWR hold an annual conference, where awards are given for achievement in media work. This year, the Western Province submitted one of the podcasts that feature on YouTube to the competition. It was among the four finalists for the category of Outstanding Achievement in Electronic Media. The 11 nominated entries will also be on display during the conference at the Marriott St. Louis Grand in Saint Louis, this month.
