Encountering Mercy is a group of people who first came together in November 2021 with a desire to deepen their awareness of the call to receive and give mercy in their daily lives.
Since first coming together in November 2021 Encountering Mercy members have regular meetings via Zoom in November, January and March. The group meets in person in April, June and September when the days are longer and travel easier. Each meeting consists of a reflection prepared by one of the members, quiet time for prayer and sharing.
Many of the members of this group are young people who lead very busy lives in school and in hospital. Connecting with like‐minded individuals for prayer and reflection offers them opportunity to sustain their lives and activities of service.
Encountering Mercy is co-ordinated this year by Siobhan Kenny and Annie O’Neill, both of whom work in Mercy University Hospital, Cork.
We should be shining lamps giving light to all around us. (Catherine McAuley)
