The Stations of the Cross offered by Sr. Mary O’Malley MMM remind us that “we live in a world where 30 pieces of silver can still buy the life of a person; where the market governs the price of coffee and people, where young men, women and children carry the cross of exploitation.”
The author takes the cross of Christ into our world and her weaving of real life stories from trafficked persons, draws us into the mystery of suffering, into the space of solidarity, where communion, participation and mission become the bond of connection.
The reflections offered here take us beyond the narration, to the place of action.
Mary O’Malley concludes each stations with the invitation:
By the sharing of his steps, may we confirm our solidarity with all trafficked people and be inspired to action
