MECPATHS Receive Social Justice Award

MECPATHS personnel are delighted to receive The Human Trafficking Social Justice Irish Enterprise of the Year Award 2021. The award celebrates “those who remain committed to demonstrating outstanding levels of excellence, customer service and innovation”. MECPATHS which works with The Hospitality and Services Sectors in Ireland continues to gain much appreciated support and most recently, Minister Helen McEntee and Maria Walsh M.E.P. met with Ann Mara and JP O’ Sullivan (MECPATHS) to discuss how best they could extend their support to the work. There are a number of new ways of working being explored with The Department of Justice and we look forward to sharing the news as the work unfolds.

The award announcement coincides with the news that Ireland has now ratified the Lanzarote Convention to further protect children from exploitation in Ireland and the passing of a Bill to address the criminal exploitation of Children in Ireland. MECPATHS continues to consult with stakeholder groups in Ireland to ensure the strengthened safeguarding of children.
