A new car park on the Rock Road in Killarney was opened on 29th May.  Some of the ground for the car park was made by moving the pedestrian archway and decorative pillars at the entrance of the old Mercy Convent back 4.8 metres to make room for the new car park entrance.  The archway and pillars were slowly dismantled one rock at a time with each rock being numbered in sequence to enable the smooth rebuilding of the archway and pillars.  To read the complete article, please click here.
