The Sisters of Mercy of the Northern Province are saddened by the death that took place as a result of the accident on the 16th October at Carryduff on the Saintfield Belfast Rd. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Daly family who grieve the loss of Conal who died. Sr. Josephine McAteer, a Sister of Mercy from our Belfast community, was injured in the accident. We pray for her speedy recovery and for the others injured in this horrific collision.

This accident is particularly distressing for the Sisters of Mercy coming so shortly after the tragic deaths of Srs. Frances and Marie. We are grateful for the outpouring of support and care being offered by so many.
