On the weekend of September 12th – 14th, six Sisters from the Western, Southern and South Central Provinces gathered in the Convent of Mercy, Eblana Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin to begin a course in using a video camera to record provincial events. This course will take place over six weekends.
The course came about as a result of discussions at the Plenary Conference Communications meeting with members of the Provincial Leadership Teams in November 2013, and preparations have been ongoing since then.

Marie Stuart rsm and Thomasina Finn rsm of South Central Province conducted the training, and gave generously of their time, skills and valuable advice from long experience of working in this area.

Cecilia Cadogan rsm, Congregational Leadership Team, opened the training session and thanked the Sisters for their generosity in responding to the invitation to be of service to their Provinces in this way.
It is hoped that the six trainees will become fully skilled in recording the important events in their Provinces in the years to come and that through their video work, they will play their part in spreading the Good News.
The second weekend in this series will take place in October.
