Those of you who know that I am a Perry Como fan, will remember my invitation and welcomed you to “my world,” I want to thank you all for your tremendous response. Now I can die happy because I have far exceeded the €1,000 friend challenge. The money received for the Kenyan Vision Project reached €3,838.

Because of your generosity, Miriam Kilgarriff and her husband Ian treated over 800 patients for eye problems and referred over 100 more to an eye specialist. Miriam and Ian were loud in their praises for the Mercy hospitality they received. They were also very impressed by the Mercy Mission in action, in the slums of Mukuru in Nairobi.
Many of those involved in the project are seen above

The three of us shared our story on Claremorris Community Radio and we three were impressed no end with our interviewer, who was our own Sue Ryder. Pat Kenny look out!
