Launch Of ‘Become One Body One Spirit In Christ’

On Thursday 30th September, the much anticipated catechetical resource “Become One Body, One Spirit, In Christ” was launched at the Academy of Mary Immaculate in Fitzroy, Melbourne by the President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, Archbishop Philip Wilson.

DVD

The DVD ROM Resource is designed to explain more fully the changes to the English version of the Roman Missal; as well as imbue Catholics in the English-speaking world with an understanding of the parts of the liturgy – with a particular focus on the Eucharist.

The interactive resource contains sections on living a Eucharistic life; receiving the English translation; celebrating the Eucharist; exploring the Mass through the ages; and crafting the art of liturgy.

StaffSr. Adele Howard and the staff of Fraynework Multimedia

Present at the launch were many who were associated with creation of the resource; the staff of Fraynework Multimedia who produced the resource, many Sisters of Mercy of the Melbourne Congregation who support the Fraynework ministry and a number of liturgists from around Australia.

Adele Howard rsm, Director of Fraynework Multimedia, a driving force behind the DVD ROM and responsible for filming segments in many countries, gave a step-by-step introduction to the resource, showing the interactive nature of the content which uses a remarkable breadth of multimedia to explain the liturgical norms which will gradually be adopted by Catholics in the English speaking world.

Five foundational essays by experts in sacramental theology and liturgy provide the themes and pathways of this resource. It is designed as a catechetical resource for a range of audiences – in fact, for the whole Catholic community.

Footage of Eucharistic Celebrations in Ireland feature on the DVD, by kind courtesy of RTE, and Masses in the Carmelite Church in Clarendon Street, Dublin and in Rowlagh Parish Church, Clondalkin were filmed especially for the resource.

The interactive DVD “Become One Body, One Spirit, In Christ” can be purchased in Veritas shops throughout Ireland and costs €19.99
