The village of Chepareria is situated in West Pokot, north of Kitale, a large town seven or so hours from Nairobi in a scenic rural highland area not too far from the Ugandan border. This community was set up in the early eighties and education has been the main ministry of the Sisters there. Currently there are two Sisters in the vocational training and artisan centres and one in the secondary school. The vocational training centre caters for young women who only had the chance to attend primary school and where efforts are made to teach skills for life especially in the area of dressmaking and home making.
